Explosion Knocks Power To Victory Taproom Brewery, Chester County Apartment Building

Nearly 50 Chester County residents were without power Monday night after an explosion and subsequent fire tore through an apartment complex and brewery.

Firefighters responded to reports of a blaze and a loud bang before arriving at the building that houses Victory Brewing taproom on the 600 block of West Cypress Street in Kennett Square around 6:30 p.m., 6abc reports.

The fire was knocked down by 2 a.m, the Longwood Fire Company said in a Facebook post.

A part of the building collapsed and left at least 50 PECO residents in the area without power, Fox29 reports.

The taproom was closed for business at the time of the fire, according to a company Facebook post.

No injuries were reported but The American Red Cross is assisting residents who were impacted.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Kennett Fire Company was assisted by Station 25 with the Longwood Fire Company, as well as Engines 25-1, 25-2, Rescue 25, Chief 25, and Deputy 25.
